DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas... Trinity River near Crockett affecting Madison, Houston, Trinity and Walker Counties. Trinity River at Riverside affecting San Jacinto, Walker, Trinity and Polk Counties. Trinity River at Liberty affecting Liberty County. Trinity River near Moss Bluff affecting Liberty and Chambers Counties. For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Romayor, Goodrich, Moss Bluff, Liberty...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Trinity River near Crockett. * WHEN...Until early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 45.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage impacting livestock grazing and prison farms. In past floods, problems occurred from the Highway 7 bridge downstream to Highway 21 bridge due to high flows in the backwater of Lake Livingston. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 45.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 35.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 AM CDT Thursday was 46.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Saturday afternoon and continue falling to 34.5 feet Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 41.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 45.3 feet on 01/13/1998. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

A fractus cloud (scud) is a fragmented, tattered cloud which has
likely been sheared off of another cloud. They are accessory clouds, meaning they
develop from parent clouds, and are named in a way which describes the original
cloud which contained them.
Fractus clouds which have originated from cumulus clouds are referred to as
cumulus fractus, while fractus clouds which have originated from stratus clouds
are referred to as stratus fractus. Under certain conditions a fractus cloud might
merge with another cloud, or develop into a cumulus cloud, but usually a
fractus cloud seen by itself will dissipate rapidly.
They are often observed on the leading and trailing edges of storm clouds,
and are a display of wind activity.

Graupel is a form of precipitation that is created by atmospheric conditions
which cause supercooled water droplets to contact snow crystals and freeze to
their surface.
Sometimes known as soft hail or snow pellets, graupel is delicate and easily
destroyed by touch. Whereas hail usually falls during severe weather, graupel
doesn't require such conditions to form, and can form in mild precipitation
similar to situations which produce snowfall.
